Robert Parker says the 2010 is together with the 2009 and  the 2005 the best bordeaux vintage he has ever tasted.

On Juin 30 Parker released his latest update on spain's finest!

A rather remarkable 'best performer': Vega Sicilia's 1942 Unico seemed to have impressed on the famous critic, rasing with 8 points to 98/100! Not bad for 68 year old tempranillo! Parkers says it is at his peak of pefection and Vega Sicilia remains the Benchmark for the worlds greatest red wines.

Further in the list Remirez de Ganuza shows up two times with their remarkable 2001 and 2004 reserva, both having 97/100 maybe quoted rather low the last time they where tasted in 2007 and 2008.

Muga's gran Reserva 'Prado Enea' shows up with their 1994, A vintage always returning when it comes to greath vintages pro country. It was almost 10 years ago Mr. Parker tasted this wine  just after Muga's release in 2001. A dispointing 87 is now justified with a 93/100. It is known for Wines from Muga that they open up only after a few years, especialy for their 'Torre muga and their Gran Reserva 'Prado Enea'.

The list is combined only with wines from Rioja and Ribera del Duero. Maybe Priorat can be expected next month?,...
